Description
The ancient Greek-Roman theatre of Taormina is among the most famous and visited monuments in Sicily. This beautiful theatre has an incredible position over the sea and a great panorama with Mt. Etna in background. During the day it's possible to visit the archaological area. During the summer months the theatre is often used for opera and pop music concerts. The ancient theatre of Taormina is a real must-see, visiting eastern Sicily.

Description
The Euryalus castle is located few miles from Syracuse, near the village Belvedere. It's one of the most important ancient fortresses of Greek age. It was built by the tyrant Dionysius together with the town walls to defend Syracuse and the Epipolis plateau. Inside the castle it's possible to see the ancient moats, the ruins of the towers for the catapults, the impressive tunnels built to move the hoplytes inside the castle. From the Euryalus castle it's also possible to enjoy a great panorama over Syracuse and it's bay and it is possible to visit the small museum with some archaeological finds.

Every first Sunday of the month, on the occasion of the national event #domenicaalmuseo, (Sunday at the museum) the entrance to regional Sicilian museums, archaeological sites and monuments areas will be free. It's anyway necessary to go to the ticket office to take the free entrance ticket. The free entrance is valid only for regional sites but not for local managed or private sites.
The free entrance to regional sites in Sicily is always free for EU citizen under 18 years. There are no reductions or free entrances over 65 years.

Description
The Neapolis archaeological park in Syracuse is the most important archaeological area in town. Inside the park it's possible to visit some of the most famous mouments of Greek and Roman age: the Greek theater, the latomie stone quarries, the ear of Dionysius, the altar of Hieron II and the Roman amphitheater.

Description
The Parco Forza is located at the mouth of Cava d'Ispica, outside the little town of Ispica, in the province of Ragusa. It's an archaeological area with medieval ruins. In the park it's possible to visit the ruins of the fortilitium, a fortress built on the top of a hill during the Aragonese period. It's also possible to visit the palazzo marchionale, the rests of the SS. Annunziata church, the stables and the centoscale. In the park there's also a little museum. Around the parco Forza it's possible to visiti the Santa Maria church in the Cava d'Ispica canyon or the ruins of the tre ladri water mill.
